The achievement of this book results
from a culmination of input from
prominent Professionals in their
respective fields. The first edition
written by P.J. Roberts was
tremendously resourceful in
providing a basic knowledge and
insight to land matters in Hong
Kong. On the suggestion of being
able to participate in the
publication of a revised edition, I
was happy to assist in anyway
possible and it has been the most
rewarding in being able to make a
nominal contribution on my part. My
deepest gratitude and thanks to all
that have made this book possible.
As a practicing surveyor in Hong
Kong, one realizes the constantly
varying conditions in the market of
such a vibrant city and consequently
the knock on effects in the property
sector. Accompanying this continuous
change, Government regulation keeps
apace in controlling development
therefore it is a challenge in
itself to keep abreast of
information relevant to the valuer.
I am confident that this revised

but also for people who are
